Series IV - Stations of the Cross

Stations of the Cross. Bronze. All works 8’’ circular bas-relief. Carved during the period spanning June 2009 - March 2010. Images are not entirely colour accurate - the original patina having a generally darker hue with reddish highlights. All works carved reductive fashion in plaster without any preliminary drawings, but after much mental preparation, and drawing of an automatic nature.
This series was unveiled to the public during the Devotio Moderna exhibition, which began on St. Patricks Day March 17th, 2010, at Regis College, University of Toronto. This exhibition was kindly sponsored and supported by the Society of Jesus (The Jesuits).
